Building the Hungarian Bitcoin knowledge base.

I've long been preoccupied with this question: how can we transform our social systems so that morality and people's interests, rather than power, become their foundation? When I encountered Bitcoin in 2019, I realized: the answer is already here. For the first time in history, we have money that no one can manipulate — money on which we can build a cooperative, decentralized society.

I came to Bitcoin with an engineering background and a childhood fascination with technology. But Bitcoin isn't only technology: it's money, economics, history, ethics and politics all at once. The deeper I dug, the clearer it became that the Hungarian-language media was full of misunderstandings, oversimplifications, and deliberate distortions about Bitcoin — objective, quality content was barely available in Hungarian. That's why, in February 2024, I stepped out of my familiar life, and have been working on this full-time ever since.

I focus specifically on Bitcoin — not on "crypto" in general. It's the only one that offers a real solution to the problem of money; from a financial perspective, the rest are more like a casino.

Our centralized systems — states and central banks — have a vested interest in opposing fundamental change: to preserve their power, they're racing to introduce central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). So while a free, decentralized alternative is available, an even more tightly controlled monetary system is being built alongside it. That's why I work to help as many people as possible understand what's truly at stake — and see that there is a choice.

What I do

In practice:

• I edit the HUSZONEGY Bitcoin podcast weekly — 100+ episodes.
• I'm a main builder of huszonegy.world — the largest Hungarian-language Bitcoin knowledge base, with a podcast, talks, educational materials, books and wallet guides.
• I translate seminal Bitcoin writings from English to Hungarian — the Cypherpunk Manifesto, works by Alex Gladstein, Lyn Alden, Ross Stevens, essays, studies, books (full list below).
• At bitcoinmentor.hu, our team of mentors provides personal Bitcoin consulting, and our educational articles help readers find their way.

My aim with all of this: that Hungarian Bitcoiners can engage with Bitcoin's most important thinkers, tools and arguments in their native language — without being held back by the English-language barrier or gaps in Hungarian-language content.

I've been building the Hungarian-language Bitcoin knowledge base full-time for two years. Hotel Aurora and Hotel Atlantis have been sponsoring this work on a regular basis — thank you to them. Their contributions, however — together with occasional translation jobs and affiliate commissions — don't cover my family's expenses. Bitcoin Mentor is still in its early stages, and currently brings in only modest income as well. I've been covering the gap from my savings for two years.

My reserves are running low, and I can't keep this up. I'd like to continue this work, and I'm hopeful that, together with the Hungarian Bitcoin community, we can make it sustainable.
